The Loop is Swire Properties’ sustainable development exhibition centre at the heart of Taikoo Place. The interactive space aims to increase environmental awareness and encourage Taikoo Place tenants and the wider community to incorporate sustainable practices into their business operations and their everyday lives.
Located in Devon House and spanning 4,000 sq ft, The Loop features a retrospective exhibition of the company’s sustainability work in Quarry Bay, a recycling centre, food waste composter and green wall.
With support from the Bank of America Charitable Foundation Grant Project, ULI has been working together with Swire Properties to add a variety of native plant species to educate the community on the importance of sustainability, biodiversity and urban greening.
Visitors can learn more about the biodiversity value of each plant simply by scanning the QR code on the plant signage.
There are additional planters with built-in seating which allows the community more space to take a rest and enjoy the green oasis. Our planters are all made from upcycled local wood post-typhoons by HK Timber Bank – learn more about our wooden planters here.
Come and visit The Loop today and stay tuned for future events in this new green space!
